GUNRUNNER

This Chelmsford, Essex based 6-piece can play genres across the spectrum from Hard Rock to Blues, from Prog Rock to Pop and beyond. The band call it their “Classic Rock Jukebox”, an eclectic and well thought out selection of both anthems and less well known musical gems, all designed to transport the audience back to their younger, formative days, awakening memories of great bands and great songs which are imprinted on their musical souls.

Founded by current rhythm guitarist Spencer Pratten, his aim was always to play great sets and to play them well. Musicians have come and gone, but the Gunrunner ethos has always stood firm. The early Blues based covers repertoire that leant heavily on Cream, Freddie King, Howlin’Wolf and the like gradually morphed into a more rocky, gutsy base, and in came legendary tracks from Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Thin Lizzy and The Doors, the type of music the band perform to busy venues and festivals all over the south of England and beyond. The current 2019 line up is the bands strongest to date, consisting of tried and tested journeyman musicians who put in the hard yards to do these classic tunes justice.

Gunrunner always deliver a varied and well designed show, so be prepared for everything and anything; from Van Halen  to Nirvana, The Rolling Stones to AC/DC, Queen to The Small Faces, and Led Zeppelin to The Who.

Here’s one band that never disappoints !

HUGO VALENTINE

HUGO VALENTINE

Hugo Valentine is a singer-songwriter from London, UK. Growing up with a varied musical upbringing, Hugo's career began aged 4 years old on a plastic toy piano bought by his grandmother - he started taking piano lessons in his London home soon after. At the age of 10, Hugo was admitted into the Royal College of Music junior department and remained there for several years where he was trained in classical music and, above all, the piano.

Hugo spent much of the last summer performing numerous festivals, including both Carfests, Tom Kerridge's Pub in the Park (Bath/Marlow/Knutsford), Big Festival, The Eden Project, Brookfest and Hampton Court Palace Festival warming up for Tom Jones.

He is looking forward to a busy summer showcasing a set of brand new material, with appearances at Camp Festival, Carfest, and of course a return to Brookfest, this time gracing the Main Stage, accompanied by his energetic band! Expect catchy hooks, piano driven melodies and a high energy show.
