ABOUT

BrookFest is a one-day, family-friendly music festival out in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside at Brook Cottage Farm in Furneux Pelham. There will be great local ska, punk, jazz and pop bands, several bars with Pimms, gin, and mojitos, a variety of food, ‘The Shed’ playing vinyl tracks all day, a Tea-Hee Tent for cake and eccentricitea, a yoga tent, and a children’s area with juggling, music, art and dinosaurs! Camping is available overnight. We recycle all glass, plastic, cardboard, and reuse our plastic cups every year.

Brook cottage farm RDA

All funds raised go to our new Brook Cottage Farm RDA group, which was officially opened by Princess Anne in September 2018. This year we would like to construct a fixed mounting platform for our disabled riders and drivers. We are also building the next section of our half-mile carriage driving track around the hay-field in preparation for becoming an RDA driving centre, which will enable our drivers to enjoy a multi-sensory outing with honeysuckle, wind-chimes, and picnic tables.

Brook Cottage Farm RDA runs on Thursdays and Fridays during term-time, at Brook Cottage Farm Riding School. We cater for around 25 children and adults with disabilities every week. In sessions, a rider learns to control their pony, to steer, walk and trot, to play games, and participate in races, endurance riding, and pony care.
